
The Charlotte Hornets dominated the Orlando Magic 130-111 after hitting triples on Thursday night.
Reserve Coby White led the Hornets with 27 points, 5 of 8 from distance, Brandon Miller tallied 25 points and eight assists, Kon Knueppel 23, and LaMelo Ball added 20.
Charlotte improved to 36-34 and it is the first time they have been two games over .500 since late in the 2021-22 season when the franchise had its last winning record at 43-39.
On the other hand, Desmond Bane dropped 24 points while Paolo Banchero had 20 for the Magic.
Meanwhile, on a night when Charlotte had its seventh straight sellout and retired former player and current TV broadcaster Dell Curry’s No. 30 jersey.
Orlando built a pair of eight-point leads in the first quarter before the Hornets took control late in the period.
Reserve Josh Green follow shot just before the first quarter buzzer gave Charlotte the lead for good at 34-32.
Magic head coach Jamahi Mosley was called for two technical fouls and ejected with 5;14 in the second quarter.
Mosley was replaced by assistant Joe Prunty for the rest of the clash.
Both teams will play home on Saturday: the Magic host the Lakers, while the Hornets host the Kings.
