Detroit will be without Cade Cunningham (left back contusion) and Isaiah Stewart (left calf strain), alongside G League assignments Isaac Jones, Bobi Klintman, and Wendell Moore Jr.
Washington is missing Leaky Black (left ankle sprain), Anthony Davis (left finger sprain), Kyshawn George (left elbow sprain), Cam Whitmore (right shoulder DVT), Trae Young (right quad contusion), and D’Angelo Russell, who is not with the team. Bilal Coulibaly (right retrocalcaneal bursitis) and Alex Sarr (left big toe capsulitis) are listed as questionable.
Cunningham leads the Pistons in scoring at 24.5 points per game, but his absence leaves Detroit reliant on Jalen Duren (19.0 PPG, 10.6 RPG) and Tobias Harris (13.2 PPG, 5.2 RPG) to maintain offensive production. Duncan Robinson continues to provide spacing, averaging 2.8 made threes per game on 40% shooting.
For the Wizards, Sarr is averaging 16.9 points and 7.5 rebounds, while Young has contributed 15.2 points and 6.2 assists per game in his limited appearances. Coulibaly adds 11.0 points per contest, but his status remains uncertain.
Detroit holds a 49-19 record, leading the Eastern Conference, while Washington sits at 16-52, already eliminated from playoff contention. The Pistons won the previous matchup on March 17, 130-117, giving them a 2-1 edge in the season series.
Thursday’s game is crucial for the Pistons to maintain their top seed in the East, while the Wizards aim to end a 13-game losing streak at home.
