Despite these mixed results, Washington relies on Kyshawn George, who averages 15.3 points and 5.0 assists per game, and Alex Sarr adds 17.4 points and 7.7 rebounds per contest.
Detroit enters the matchup riding a three-game winning streak, with recent victories over the Nuggets (124-121) and the Nets (130-77). Cunningham leads the Pistons with 25.3 points and 9.8 assists per game. Jalen Duren and Tobias Harris provide frontcourt stability, averaging 18.0 and 13.5 points respectively. Ausar Thompson adds 10.6 points and 6.0 rebounds per contest, but his availability remains unaffected by injury.
Thursday’s contest will mark the second meeting of the season between these Eastern Conference rivals. Detroit previously edged Washington 137-135 in overtime on November 10. The Pistons sit atop the conference at 37-12 and the Wizards are tied for last at 13-36.
