The East-leading Detroit Pistons crushed the Indiana Pacers 130-117, despite losing All-Star Cade Cunningham on Tuesday night.
Jalen Duren took charge with 36 points and 12 rebounds, and reserve Dannis Jenkins added 15 points as the Pistons won four of five and sent the Wizards to their 13th straight loss.
Cunningham was hurt early in the first quarter while diving for a loose ball. He played for a few more minutes before being taken out at the 6:40 mark, and the team said during the second quarter that he would not return.
On the other hand, Bub Carrington had his season-high 30 points for the injury-depleted Wizards. Will Riley scored 21 and Justin Champagnie added 18
Washington has been surprisingly tough against the Pistons this season, with a win at road Detroit on Feb. 5 and an overtime loss in November.
The Wizards kept this one within double digits before Duren gave Detroit a 78-67 lead midway through the third.
Detroit extended its advantage to 22 late in the period.
Both teams will conclude their season series on Thursday at Washington.
