Sacramento Kings big man Drew Eubanks has been diagnosed with a torn UCL in his left thumb and will need surgery to fix the injury, the team confirmed on Monday, according to Locked On Kings’ James Ham.

Eubanks has been part of Sacramento’s rotation throughout the season, appearing in 42 games and starting 11 of them.

During that stretch, he has averaged 5.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 0.6 blocks while playing 13.1 minutes per game.

The injury occurred during Wednesday’s loss to the Charlotte Hornets, as noted in the team’s official press release.

Eubanks logged just under 15 minutes in that matchup and finished with four points, six rebounds, and two assists before the issue was later evaluated.

According to the team, Eubanks is scheduled to undergo surgery on Wednesday, March 18.

Sacramento has not yet released an official timetable for his return, but with only about four weeks remaining in the 2025/26 regular season, it appears unlikely that he will be able to return before the year ends.

A similar situation occurred recently with Nets center Day’Ron Sharpe, who received the same diagnosis earlier this week and was subsequently ruled out for the rest of the season.
