According to NBA insider Shams Charania, video footage exists capturing the moment Stewart punched Eubanks in the face in a corridor of the arena, a scene witnessed by both the Suns organization and the NBA.

Charania provided insight into the contents of the video, describing how Stewart dropped his bags before delivering the punch, while Eubanks reportedly remained composed, showing little reaction to the blow.

“There is video, the security, Phoenix, they’ve seen it, the league has seen it too,” Charania said on FanDuelTV’s Run It Back. “The people that I’ve spoken to that have seen it, have shown that, yeah, Drew Eubanks was punched in the face, Isaiah Stewart dropped his bags and delivered a punch.

“Drew Eubanks, from what I’m told from multiple sources that did identify the video that have had contact with that video, it shows that Drew Eubanks really didn’t finch. He took it and stood there stone cold. They’re obviously separated by security.

“Eventually Isaiah Stewart left the arena with Pistons security as well. He was not put in jail, but he was arrested, cited and now he’s going through this.”

The incident, which took place on February 14, 2024, resulted in Stewart’s arrest in Phoenix on charges of assault following the altercation in the parking lot of Footprint Center, moments before the scheduled game against the Suns.

Stewart was promptly issued a citation and released, with ongoing scrutiny surrounding the repercussions of the incident. The court date was recently set for the Pistons player.
