The Cleveland Cavaliers have battled injuries throughout the season, but they may soon welcome back the player who has been sidelined the longest.

Veteran guard Max Strus has started practicing with the G League’s Cleveland Charge as he moves closer to making his season debut.

Strus has not played yet this year after suffering a Jones’ fracture in his left foot.

The Cavaliers previously announced that he began full individual workouts last week, and participating in practice sessions with the Charge represents the next stage of his recovery process.

If his progress continues without setbacks, Strus could potentially make his return on Sunday when Cleveland hosts the Dallas Mavericks.
