Payton Sandfort, who signed a two-way contract with the Thunder on Monday, is expected to be a good addition to the team, head coach Mark Daigneault told Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman and other reporters.

“He’s a great professional and he’s a really good guy,” Daigneault said.

“He hasn’t played a lot this year. He’s been injured, but he’s a guy our scouts really liked coming out of college. He can really shoot the ball with some size, and he’s a great kid. Just a really, really good dude.”

Sandfort has spent the season with the Thunder’s G League affiliate, the Oklahoma City Blue.

According to Spotrac contributor Keith Smith, his two-way agreement with Oklahoma City is a two-year deal.
