Recently acquired guard Rob Dillingham has been receiving extended playing time as roster changes and injuries have reshaped the Chicago Bulls’ backcourt rotation.
With additional minutes now available, Dillingham views the situation as an important chance to establish himself and prove he can contribute consistently at the NBA level.
Speaking with Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune, the player emphasized that simply getting opportunities on the court is a positive step forward and that his focus is on making the most of those chances as he continues adjusting to his new environment.
“I’ve got an opportunity here,” Dillingham said. “At least here I’m getting on the floor, you know? It’s up to me to perform to the best of my opportunity, and then from there it’ll keep growing and growing.”
Despite the increased role, the transition has not been entirely smooth for the former Minnesota Timberwolves guard.
In a recent game against the Hornets, Dillingham logged 23 minutes but struggled offensively, finishing 2-for-9 from the field while committing three turnovers.
