Hornets waive Rob Dillingham after Bulls trade

The Charlotte Hornets are parting ways with Rob Dillingham just days after acquiring the young guard from the Chicago Bulls.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Charlotte is waiving Dillingham following the weekend trade that sent Buddy Hield and cash considerations to Chicago.

The Hornets also created a $9.6 million trade exception as part of the transaction, giving the organization additional flexibility for future moves.

Dillingham, 21, spent last season with the Bulls, appearing in 30 games. He averaged 9.6 points and 2.8 assists per game during his time in Chicago.
