Former Minnesota Timberwolves lottery pick Rob Dillingham is starting to find his rhythm with the Chicago Bulls after adjusting to his new situation.
Over his last three games, he’s put up 13 points and five assists per night while hitting 40% of his three-pointers (6-of-15), as noted by Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times.
Since being traded last month, Dillingham has seen more consistent minutes, a change from his limited role in Minnesota, and that opportunity has helped him regain confidence and play with more freedom.
“I’m just thankful for Coach (Billy Donovan), honestly,” Dillingham said. “Giving me that leash, it’s like I’m renewed. I’ve been able to play freely.
“My mental when I’ve been out on the court has been bad like for the last couple months, so I’m just thankful that I’m able to play, able to add confidence, able to help us win, and really, I’m just thankful to learn and keep growing.”
Dillingham has played 2 seasons for the Timberwolves and Bulls. He has averaged 4.6 points and 2.1 assists in 100 regular-season games.
