The Boston Celtics visit the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday, February 24, at Mortgage Matchup Center in a matchup featuring two teams firmly in the playoff picture.
Boston will again be without Jayson Tatum, who remains sidelined after right Achilles repair, while Jaylen Brown is listed as questionable with a right knee contusion. Max Shulga is out on a two-way G League assignment, and Amari Williams is doubtful while on assignment.
Brown leads the team with 29.2 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. If Brown is limited, Derrick White and Payton Pritchard will shoulder more responsibility. White is averaging 17.0 points and 5.7 assists, while Pritchard contributes 17.6 points and 5.4 assists and is shooting 46.9% from the field.
Boston enters at 36-19, second in the Eastern Conference, and has won two straight road games, including a 111-89 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on February 22.
Phoenix is dealing with significant absences of its own. Devin Booker is out with a right hip strain, Dillon Brooks remains sidelined with a fractured left hand, and Jordan Goodwin is out due to a left calf strain. Cole Anthony is not with the team, and Haywood Highsmith is out for injury management, while Grayson Allen is questionable with knee and ankle issues.
Booker has averaged 24.7 points and 6.1 assists this season, and Brooks has added 20.9 points per game. Their absence removes 45.6 combined points from a Suns offense that averages 112.6 per contest.
Phoenix, currently seventh in the Western Conference at 33-24, lost 92-77 at home to Portland on February 22 after a double-overtime win against Orlando the night before.
Tip-off is set for 9:00 PM ET.
