Aaron Gordon is continuing to make steady progress in his recovery from a strained right hamstring, according to Tim MacMahon on a recent episode of The Hoop Collective podcast (hat tip to Jordanna Clark of NuggLove).

The Denver Nuggets have taken a hands-on approach to Gordon’s rehabilitation, even sending a team trainer with him to Orlando during the All-Star break to assist with his recovery work.

MacMahon reported that Gordon has recently begun taking part in portions of team practices and has advanced to on-court activities, including dunking and playing one-on-one.

The next step in his recovery process will be gradually increasing that workload toward full five-on-five action as the team carefully monitors his condition.

Gordon has played 12 seasons for the Magic and Nuggets. He has averaged 13.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 743 regular-season games.

He has won 1 NBA championship.
