Jamal Murray entered Friday’s game listed as questionable due to right hamstring tightness, writes Bennett Durando of The Denver Post, and his availability for Sunday afternoon’s matchup against Golden State remains uncertain.
After logging 25 minutes, the Denver Nuggets may choose to rest the veteran guard as part of a cautious approach amid a demanding schedule.
Head coach David Adelman indicated that the team will prioritize Murray’s health, especially given the condensed stretch of games Denver is navigating.
“If he feels anything, he’s not gonna play,” coach David Adelman said on Friday.
“We played a 7:30 (Pacific time) game last night. We play 7 tonight. We play 12:30 on Sunday. It makes absolutely no sense for me to put him in a torture chamber and then be surprised if he gets hurt.”
Murray has played 9 seasons for the Nuggets. He has averaged 18.6 points, 4.9 assists and 3.8 rebounds in 588 regular-season games.
He has won 1 NBA championship.
