The move adds perimeter shooting for the Lakers, pairing Kennard with Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves, and LeBron James.
Vincent, 29, appeared in 29 games this season for the Lakers, averaging 4.8 points, 0.9 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 19.3 minutes per game. His 3-point shooting percentage stands at 36.9%, providing the Hawks with a reliable floor-spacing option. The Hawks also gain a 2032 second-round pick and create an $11 million trade exception.
Kennard, 29, has played 46 games for Atlanta in the 2025-26 season, averaging 7.9 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 20.5 minutes per contest. He is shooting 49.7% from three-point range, giving Los Angeles a consistent outside scoring threat alongside its star trio.
The trade positions the Lakers to maintain their offensive pace, ranking fifth in the Western Conference with a 30-19 record. Doncic is leading the team with 33.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 8.7 assists per game, while Reaves contributes 26.1 points per contest, and James adds 22.0 points with 5.7 rebounds.
Atlanta, sitting ninth in the Eastern Conference at 25-27, strengthens its backcourt depth while maintaining flexibility for future moves. The Hawks already rely on Jalen Johnson’s 23.2 points per game and Nickeil Alexander-Walker’s 20.3 points to anchor their offense, and Vincent provides an experienced option to support them.
