While discussing whether the Toronto Raptors could pursue a trade for center Domantas Sabonis, James Ham of Locked On Kings said the Sacramento Kings have “zero interest” in acquiring Jakob Poeltl.

The big man has dealt with back issues this season and is under contract through the 2029/30 campaign.

Ham shared that his source was blunt on the matter, saying, “‘We’re not getting into the Jakob Poeltl business.’”

However, Ham added that the same source did not rule out interest in another Toronto player, noting there was no similar pushback regarding the “RJ Barrett business.”

Barrett, of course, was originally drafted by the Knicks during the time current Kings general manager Scott Perry worked in New York’s front office.

The analyst also addressed speculation suggesting Toronto might try to acquire Keon Ellis alongside Sabonis in a potential trade.

According to Ham, a source told him “unequivocally” that the Raptors and Kings have not had any discussions involving Ellis up to this point.
