The Atlanta Hawks dethroned the Indiana Pacers 132-116 after using a 17-0 run in the second half and earned their third straight win on Monday night.
CJ McCollum led the Hawks with 23 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists Dyson Daniels added 22 with nine assists, and Nickell Alexander-Walker added 21.
The Pacers led by 15 points midway through the third quarter and were up 92-85 late in the period before the Hawks scored 17 unanswered points in a run that carried into the fourth quarter.
Luke Kennard’s three-pointer from the corner capped the run and gave Atlanta a 102-92 lead.
Pacers’ Pascal Siakam dropped 26 points, Aaron Nesmith scored 18, and Bennedict Mathurin returned from a thumb injury to add 16, and T.J. McConnell also added 16.
Meanwhile, Hawks’ Kristaps Porzingis and Zaccharie Risaher each missed their ninth straight game due to left Achilles tendinitis and left knee bone contusion.
Porzingis will be evaluated in about a week, and Risacher could return for the team’s next game.
Christian Koloko helped to fill the void left by Porzingis and Risacher by dropping a career-high 12 points off the bench with three blocks.
Jalen Johnson scored 15 despite making only 5 of 19 shots from the field,
The game had been scheduled for Monday night but moved to early afternoon due to the possibility of icy roads from a winter storm gripping the South and Northeast.
Both teams will play on Wednesday night, with the Pacers hosting the Bulls and the Hawks visiting Boston.
