Former NBA guard Shake Milton has suffered a broken bone in his left hand and has traveled back to the United States to undergo surgery, according to a report from Pedrac Saric of Serbian outlet Meridian Sport, via Emiliano Carchia of Sportando.
Milton, who is currently playing for Partizan Belgrade, is expected to be sidelined for roughly three months.
The injury adds to a difficult first season in Europe for the 29-year-old, who has struggled to find his footing with the Serbian club during his initial stint overseas, Carchia notes.
Meanwhile, veteran point guard Cory Joseph, who signed with AS Monaco in early December following a 14-year NBA career, has yet to make his debut for the team.
As Alex Molina of Eurohoops reports, Monaco is currently under a transfer ban stemming from unresolved financial issues, preventing Joseph from being registered.
According to Molina, Aris Thessaloniki has expressed interest in acquiring the 34-year-old guard, but the Greek club has not yet presented an offer that Joseph finds satisfactory.
