Delonte West’s post-NBA struggles continue, with another arrest adding to a growing list of legal issues. The former NBA guard was taken into custody on December 21, 2025, in Belle Haven, Virginia, after allegedly robbing someone of $23, according to TMZ Sports.

Police said the alleged victim identified West near the scene, and court records show he was charged with assault and battery and robbery involving force.

West was released on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to return to Fairfax County court on March 16. The arrest follows a series of recent incidents, including being found unconscious and intoxicated on the side of a road in November.

In 2024, West was arrested for misdemeanor trespassing in Huntington and later taken into custody again after allegedly fleeing police who were attempting to serve a warrant, with accusations of violating release conditions and resisting arrest.

Since his NBA career ended in 2015, West has accumulated a lengthy legal record. He entered the league as the 24th overall pick in the 2004 draft by the Boston Celtics but struggled to meet expectations.

His career included stops with the Seattle SuperSonics, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Dallas Mavericks, followed by time in the D League and overseas.
