Former NBA guard Delonte West has married his longtime girlfriend Melissa Anaya, announcing the news on social media ahead of his scheduled boxing match against Michael Beasley.
West shared a photograph celebrating the marriage alongside a short message.
“The comeback story continues,” West wrote.
The marriage is West’s third, following divorces in 2010 and 2020.
The 43-year-old is preparing to face Beasley on Friday at an event organized by Adin Ross’ Brand Risk Promotions. The event will also feature other fights, including Deshae Frost against YK Osiris.
West entered the NBA as the 24th overall pick in the 2004 draft, selected by the Boston Celtics out of Saint Joseph’s University.
He later played for the Cleveland Cavaliers alongside LeBron James before finishing his NBA career with the Dallas Mavericks in 2012.

Since leaving professional basketball, West has experienced significant personal difficulties, including legal issues, housing instability and struggles with mental health and substance abuse.
His marriage announcement comes shortly after he addressed longstanding, unsubstantiated rumors involving Gloria James, the mother of his former Cleveland teammate.
During Wednesday’s Brand Risk 16 pre-fight media availability, West was asked about the rumors and offered a brief response.
“A gentleman never tells,” West said.
The remark quickly gained attention on social media, reviving speculation that has never been substantiated.
West recently spoke positively about the James family during a livestream with N3on, saying that LeBron and his mother continue to reach out and check on him and his family.
