Italy’s preparations for the upcoming Olympic Qualifiers have taken a blow after Marco Belinelli and Daniel Hackett suffered injuries during a latest warm-up game.
Belinelli suffered a blow to the face and as a result, had to go to hospital with a swollen eye while Hackett suffered an ankle sprain in Italy’s 74-71 overtime win over Canada.
Italy are one of three host cities in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament as they play Croatia and Tunisia in their group phase.
