Sacramento Kings saw an already difficult season grow more complicated Sunday, as injuries claimed two more rotation players during a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Forward Keegan Murray and guard Keon Ellis were both forced to exit the game early and did not return.

Murray went down late in the third quarter with a left ankle injury and needed assistance to leave the floor.

The setback comes shortly after he had worked his way back from a calf strain, adding to a season that already began late due to his recovery from a torn ligament in his left thumb.

Ellis’ night ended even sooner, as he played just five minutes before being sidelined. He was later ruled out with a left thumb injury, further thinning Sacramento’s backcourt during the contest.

There was at least some positive news for the Kings, as Zach LaVine returned to the lineup after missing time with a sprained left ankle.

However, the team remains without starting center Domantas Sabonis, who continues to be sidelined while dealing with a partially torn meniscus in his left knee.
