While Keegan Murray is progressing in his recovery from a left ankle sprain, the Kings announced he will miss at least two more weeks before being reevaluated, according to a team press release.
After playing 80, 77 and 76 games in his first three NBA seasons, Murray has dealt with multiple injuries in 2025/26. The fourth-year forward didn’t make his season debut until Nov. 20 after undergoing surgery on his left thumb.
He later missed two games in December with a mild calf strain and then several weeks due to a moderate left ankle sprain.
Murray re-injured the same ankle on Feb. 25 in just his fourth game back from the initial sprain, which occurred on Jan. 4.
He has appeared in only 23 games this season, averaging 14.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and 1.0 steal while shooting .420/.277/.776 in 34.5 minutes per game.
His 1.6 blocks per contest would be a career high, though his field goal and three-point percentages are currently career lows.
The Kings also provided an update on Devin Carter, who was injured during his career night Tuesday. An MRI on his right calf revealed a deep soft-tissue contusion, and the second-year guard is considered day-to-day.
Sacramento currently sits at 16-51, the worst record in the Western Conference and the second-worst in the NBA.
