Howie Kussoy of The New York Post reports that Nets guard Nolan Traore’s performance against Toronto could open the door to additional NBA minutes.

The 19-year-old French point guard has largely been developed patiently, spending most of his time with Long Island in the G League rather than in Brooklyn.

That approach appeared to pay dividends when Traore scored eight points in Sunday’s victory over the Toronto Raptors, showing poise and confidence in a bigger role.

Coach Jordi Fernandez credited Traore’s steady progress to the extended run he has received away from the main roster, explaining that those minutes helped prepare him for the opportunity.

Fernandez emphasized that Traore arrived with confidence and made the most of his chance, reinforcing the idea that consistent playing time is critical for development.

By translating his G League experience to the NBA floor with the Brooklyn Nets, Traore played a meaningful role in the win and strengthened his case for more opportunities going forward.
