Nolan Traore understands that the Brooklyn Nets are still developing as a team, but the rookie guard believes he and fellow first-year player Egor Demin already show strong chemistry and have the potential to form Brooklyn’s future backcourt, according to Brian Lewis of the New York Post.

Traore pointed to how their skill sets fit together on the court and help the offense function more smoothly.

“We complete each other, and we play great [together],” the player said. “He is a good shooter, and it is always good for me to play with good shooters.”

Head coach Jordi Fernandez has also been encouraged by the early progress shown by the young duo, while continuing to push both players to become more physical as they adjust to the NBA level.

Traore began the season moving in and out of the rotation but has recently found consistency, averaging 12.0 points and 4.8 assists while shooting 43.2 percent from three-point range over his last 12 games.
