Brian Lewis of The New York Post notes that Nets rookie guard Egor Demin keeps meeting the standards set by coach Jordi Fernandez and showing growth when pushed.

Demin delivered one of his strongest performances yet in Tuesday’s victory, scoring 20 points while adding five assists and two rebounds.

His recent shooting surge has been especially notable, as he now sits near the top of the rookie class in games with four or more made three-pointers, easing doubts that followed him into the draft about his perimeter accuracy.

Fernandez views Demin as a player who is deeply invested in playing the game the right way and points out that his size gives him a natural advantage at the guard spot.

Beyond simply making shots, the guard has shown an improved feel for creating opportunities, both by spotting up beyond the arc and by setting up teammates.

The coach has also emphasized how much progress Demin has made attacking the basket, noting that his willingness to drive with force has added another layer to his game and made him far more effective when finishing at the rim.
