The Brooklyn Nets announced that they have signed rookie guard Nolan Traore, the 19th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, to a multi-year contract. As per team policy, the specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Traore, a 6-foot-3 guard from France, enters the NBA after an impressive 2024-25 season with Saint-Quentin Basketball in France’s top league, LNB. He appeared in 44 games, starting 34, and averaged 12.2 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 4.7 assists over 22.7 minutes per game.
The 19-year-old also played in international competitions, including the Basketball Champions League, where he earned the league’s Best Young Player award for the 2024-25 campaign. His performances helped Saint-Quentin compete across multiple tournaments, including the French Leaders Cup and French Basketball Cup.
Before joining Saint-Quentin, Traore spent more than two seasons developing with Centre Fédéral du Basket-Ball in France’s NM1 division. His steady rise through the French basketball system has made him one of the most promising young guards from Europe.
Traore also gained valuable international experience with the French national team, appearing in two games during the 2024 EuroBasket Qualifiers.
The Nets are adding a young playmaker known for his court vision, quickness, and ability to create offense for himself and teammates.
With this signing, the Nets continue to build around a core of youth and talent as they prepare for the upcoming season. Traore is expected to join the team for Summer League action and begin acclimating to the NBA pace and physicality.
