The Memphis Grizzlies (12-14) visit the Minnesota Timberwolves (17-9) on Wednesday, December 17, at 8:00 PM ET, with both teams aiming to extend current winning streaks. Memphis enters the matchup with a one-game streak, while Minnesota has won two straight.

The Grizzlies are dealing with multiple injuries, including Zach Edey (left ankle stress reaction), Ty Jerome (right calf strain), John Konchar (left thumb UCL), Scotty Pippen Jr. (left great toe surgery recovery), and Javon Small (left toe turf toe). Brandon Clarke and Ja Morant are listed as questionable with a right knee and left ankle injury, respectively, and Cam Spencer is out for personal reasons. G League assignment GG Jackson will not play.

Minnesota’s injury concerns include Mike Conley (right Achilles tendinopathy) and Anthony Edwards (right foot injury maintenance), both listed as questionable. G League players Joan Beringer and Enrique Freeman, along with Rocco Zikarsky, will not be available.

Memphis relies on Morant, averaging 17.8 points and 7.9 assists per game, and Jaren Jackson Jr., who contributes 16.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per contest. Depth could be tested with several key players sidelined. Cedric Coward and Santi Aldama are expected to step up as secondary scorers.

The Timberwolves feature Edwards as the team’s leading scorer with 28.7 points per game, alongside Julius Randle with 23.1 points and 7.3 rebounds. Rudy Gobert averages 10.3 rebounds per game and provides a defensive presence in the paint, while Jaden McDaniels adds 15.8 points and 4.7 rebounds.

This season marks the first meeting between the two teams. Both squads come off recent wins: Memphis defeated the Clippers 121-103, while Minnesota beat the Kings 117-103 in its most recent outing.
