Wizards head coach Brian Keefe offered a status update on Alex Sarr as the player continues to recover from an adductor injury that has kept him out for the past six games.

According to Varun Shankar of Post Sports, Sarr has yet to advance to on-court work during team practices, an indication that his return is not imminent.

Keefe acknowledged that while the injury was initially described as minor, soft-tissue issues can be unpredictable and often require extra caution.

The Wizards appear to be taking a conservative approach, prioritizing Sarr’s long-term health rather than rushing him back into action.

Despite the slow progression, there is optimism internally that the player is trending in the right direction toward a return.

Even with Washington struggling to a 4-20 record, Sarr has emerged as one of the team’s most encouraging developments this season.

The French big man leads the Wizards in scoring at 19.1 points per game, rebounds at 8.6, and blocks at 2.0, while also contributing across the board with solid numbers in steals and assists.
