A small detail at the PAOK Sports Arena offered a glimpse into the club’s transfer intentions.
Observers who caught sight of a handwritten note on the phone of new owner Telis Mystakidis could already sense that notable reinforcements were on the way.
Among the names listed was Patrick Beverley, signaling that the experienced American guard is being targeted by PAOK.
Beverley was mentioned alongside Bryn Tyree, who has already been announced, and Timmy Allen, who is expected to join soon.
The plan is for the 37-year-old to come to Thessaloniki and provide toughness, experience, and leadership as Jure Zdovc’s team prepares for competition in the Greek league, the Greek Cup, and the FIBA Europe Cup.
The move would bring Beverley back to Europe, where he spent part of last season before returning stateside.
Over the years, he has built a long résumé that includes multiple NBA stops as well as a previous stint in Greece with Olympiacos.
If finalized, his arrival would represent a high-profile addition for PAOK as the club continues to reshape its roster under new ownership.
