The Golden State Warriors officially confirmed their roster changes, announcing that Malevy Leons has taken Alex Toohey’s two-way contract spot.
This follows earlier reporting that Golden State would sign the 6’9″ wing and waive Toohey, who will miss the rest of the season due to upcoming knee surgery.
Leons joins the Warriors after producing 14.8 points and 7.6 rebounds for the G League’s OKC Blue.
Undrafted out of Bradley in 2024, he had multiple short stints with the Thunder, including six regular season appearances, before spending most of last season and this year in the G League.
Toohey, a 6’7″ Australian forward drafted in the second round in June, had signed a two-way deal in September but had yet to play in an NBA game.
He previously spent two seasons with the Sydney Kings, where he averaged 10.6 points and 4.0 rebounds.
