The Memphis Grizzlies will enter Tuesday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs with both teams dealing with depleted rosters.
Ja Morant (right calf), Brandon Clarke (right knee), Scotty Pippen Jr. (left great toe), Ty Jerome (right calf), and Javon Small (left toe) are all sidelined, while Jock Landale is listed as questionable with left ankle soreness.
Memphis has relied heavily on Jaren Jackson Jr., who leads the team with 18.3 points per game and 5.2 rebounds, and Cedric Coward, averaging 13.2 points and six boards.
The Grizzlies have won their last two games, defeating the Clippers 112-107 and the Kings 115-107 on the road, and hold a 9-12 record this season.
San Antonio will also miss a key player, with Victor Wembanyama (left calf) ruled out and Stephon Castle (left hip flexor) sidelined. Jordan McLaughlin (left hamstring) is also unavailable, while Harrison Ingram and Riley Minix are questionable due to two-way G League assignments.
The Spurs are coming off a 125-112 loss at Minnesota and sit at 13-6 this season.
San Antonio will lean on De’Aaron Fox and Devin Vassell to drive the offense. Fox is averaging 24.1 points and 6.6 assists per game, while Vassell contributes 15.9 points and 3.6 rebounds. Keldon Johnson and Julian Champagnie provide additional scoring options, helping offset the absence of Wembanyama.
The game at Frost Bank Center begins at 8:00 PM ET and marks the second meeting between the two teams this season, with San Antonio taking the first encounter 111-101 on November 18.
