The Portland Trail Blazers will enter Tuesday’s matchup against the Toronto Raptors without several key players.
Damian Lillard (left Achilles), Scoot Henderson (left hamstring), Jrue Holiday (right calf), and Matisse Thybulle (left thumb) are all out, while Donovan Clingan is listed as questionable with an illness.
Portland’s injury woes extend to Blake Wesley (right foot fracture) and Javonte Cooke (two-way assignment), limiting the team’s rotation and depth for the visit to Scotiabank Arena.
The Trail Blazers are on a two-game losing streak, falling to the Thunder and Spurs in their last two outings, and sit at 8-12 this season.
Toronto enters the contest also dealing with absences, though to a lesser extent. RJ Barrett (right knee) is out, while Chucky Hepburn, A.J. Lawson, Alijah Martin, and Jonathan Mogbo are all unavailable due to G League assignments. The Raptors hold a 14-7 record but are coming off consecutive losses at New York and Charlotte.
Portland will rely on Jerami Grant, Shaedon Sharpe, and Deni Avdija to carry the scoring load, with Avdija leading the team at 25.8 points per game.
Toronto’s offense will revolve around Brandon Ingram and Scottie Barnes, who are averaging 21.5 and 19.9 points per game, respectively. Jakob Poeltl anchors the Raptors’ interior, contributing 8.3 rebounds per contest, while Immanuel Quickley directs the offense with 6.3 assists per game.
Scotiabank Arena will host the contest at 7:30 PM ET, marking the first meeting between Portland and Toronto this season.
