Warriors forward Jimmy Butler gave Golden State a brief scare on Saturday night when he crashed hard to the floor during the team’s victory over the Pelicans.
Despite the awkward landing, Butler sounded confident afterward that he won’t miss the team’s next game. As shared by Anthony Slater of ESPN in a postgame interview clip, the veteran star said he expects to be available on Tuesday when the Warriors face Oklahoma City.
The fall temporarily left him shaken up, but Butler didn’t express concern about lingering effects. His optimistic outlook is important for a Warriors team that has leaned heavily on his two-way impact early this season.
Through 19 appearances so far, with an average of 31.7 minutes per contest, the six-time All-Star has delivered strong, efficient production: 20.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.6 steals per game, shooting .527 from the field, .436 from long range, and .856 at the free throw line.
