Rookie forward Ace Bailey suffered a setback on Friday night when he went down with what the team later identified as a right knee contusion during Utah’s matchup with Sacramento.

According to the Jazz, who announced the update in a statement shared by Andy Larsen on Twitter, Bailey was ruled out for the remainder of the game after the injury occurred.

Bailey, selected fifth overall in the 2025 draft, had been building real momentum since earning a spot in the starting lineup.

Over the eight games leading up to Friday’s victory, he had been delivering strong two-way production, putting up 14.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.4 steals while shooting .523 from the field, .383 from beyond the arc, and .778 at the free-throw line, all in just 25.1 minutes per game.
