Toronto Raptors forward Brandon Ingram was fined $25,000 by the NBA on Monday after throwing a water bottle on the floor due to frustration in their matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers.
It was during the third quarter, with around six minutes left, when Ingram fouled Sixers forward Trendon Warford on a driving layup that resulted in an and-one play.
Ingram walked to the Raptors’ bench, sat down, and threw the water bottle on the floor in disgust, causing a delay as the game attendant had to dry the court.
The 6-foot-8 wing returned after one session and finished the game with 21 points, eight rebounds, and five assists with 37 minutes of playing time.3
He was sent to Toronto in February and averaged 21 points, 6.3 rebounds, and four assists after recovering from an ankle injury.
Meanwhile, during that matchup, Watford had recorded his first career triple-double with 20 points and 17 rebounds, and 10 assists, with a victory over the Raptors 130-120.
