The Charlotte Hornets announced they’ve exercised their rookie-scale team options on Brandon Miller and Tidjane Salaun, securing both players through the 2026–27 season.
Miller’s fourth-year option guarantees him $15,104,626, while Salaun’s third-year option locks in $8,237,880.
Miller, the No. 2 pick in the 2023 draft, impressed as a rookie with averages of 17.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists, finishing third in Rookie of the Year voting.
However, injuries – including wrist surgery and a current shoulder issue – have limited him to 29 appearances since.
Salaun, selected sixth overall in 2024, had a quieter first season, averaging 5.9 points and 4.7 rebounds in 60 games, but Charlotte remains confident in his development.
The team will decide on his 2027–28 option next fall, while Miller becomes eligible for an extension in 2026.
