Dubai extends coach Jurica Golemac through 2028

Dubai Basketball has announced that head coach Jurica Golemac has extended his contract with the club through 2028. The Slovenian coach guided the team to a 24-point victory over reigning EuroLeague champions Fenerbahce.

Golemac joined Dubai Basketball in 2024 and quickly became a pivotal figure in the club’s rise on both regional and European stages. Last season, he led the team to a 25–5 ABA League Regular Season record and a playoff semifinal appearance in their debut year.

This season, Dubai continues its momentum under Golemac, holding a 2–2 record in their debut EuroLeague campaign with wins over Partizan and Fenerbahce. The team is also undefeated in the ABA League at 2–0 after victories against Split and Borac Cacak.

The coach has played a key role in Dubai’s basketball history, guiding the first home team from the city to compete in two international leagues. His vision has helped establish Dubai as a contender in just two seasons of professional competition.

Dubai Basketball aims to continue improving each year, and Golemac’s contract extension secures stability and leadership for the team. The club returns to action on Wednesday, October 16, against FC Barcelona at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.
