The Los Angeles Clippers have signed guard TyTy Washington Jr. and waived John Poulakidas to make room on the team’s 21-man training camp roster, according to The Athletic’s Law Murray.
Washington, 23, joins the Clippers after short stints with the Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks, and Phoenix Suns. Across 58 career NBA games, he has averaged 3.3 points and 1.2 assists in 10.5 minutes per contest while shooting 34.7% from the field.
A former first-round pick by the Memphis Grizzlies in 2022, Washington has spent most of his early career developing between the NBA and G League systems. He provides Los Angeles with additional depth at the point guard position behind Chris Paul and Kris Dunn.
The move gives Washington another opportunity to solidify his place in the league after limited playing time in Phoenix last season, where he appeared in 16 games and averaged 2.2 points.
To open a roster spot, the Clippers waived rookie guard John Poulakidas. The Yale product joined Los Angeles after going undrafted in 2025 and participated in Summer League competition.
Poulakidas had a standout collegiate career, averaging 19.4 points on 45.1% shooting and 40.8% from three-point range in his senior season.
