The Los Angeles Clippers plan to add TyTy Washington to their roster on a two-way contract, according to NBA insider Michael Scotto. To make room for Washington, the team will waive two-way guard RayJ Dennis.
Washington has been thriving in the G League with the San Diego Clippers, averaging 17.9 points on 46.5% shooting, including 41.1% from beyond the arc. He also contributes 5.9 assists, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game over 14 contests this season.
Previously, Washington signed a two-way deal with the Phoenix Suns on August 2, 2024, and appeared in 16 games during the 2024–25 NBA season, averaging 2.2 points, 0.8 rebounds, and 1.0 assists. He joined the Clippers for training camp on October 14, 2025, but was waived before the regular season began on October 18.
The Clippers, who have struggled this season with a 9-21 record, will look to Washington for scoring and playmaking depth. Their current rotation features James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, Ivica Zubac, and John Collins, but the team has faced challenges in backcourt consistency and secondary ball handling.
Washington’s G League performance highlights his shooting efficiency and ability to create opportunities, with 41.1% from three-point range and 46.5% overall.
Dennis, who will be waived to accommodate Washington, has seen limited minutes this season and struggled to find a consistent role in the rotation.
