Bruce Brown is back in Denver after turning down interest from multiple teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns.

According to The Denver Post’s Bennett Durando, Brown prioritized fit and familiarity over money, choosing to return to the Nuggets on a one-year deal. “I don’t care how much I get offered. If I get somewhere more, I don’t care. I’m just gonna go back to Denver because I just think it’s a perfect fit for me,” Brown told the outlet.

The 29-year-old guard-forward returns to the franchise where he won an NBA championship in 2023. His versatility and defensive consistency were vital during Denver’s title run, particularly in the Western Conference Finals against the Lakers, where he averaged 12 points and 4 rebounds off the bench.

After leaving Denver in free agency, Brown signed a two-year, $45 million deal with the Indiana Pacers. He later had stints with the Toronto Raptors and New Orleans Pelicans, appearing in 57 games during the 2024–25 season and averaging 8.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game.

The Nuggets’ decision to bring Brown back follows a summer focused on reinforcing depth around Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray.

League sources told The Denver Post that both the Lakers and Suns made inquiries about Brown, but the former second-round pick was determined to reunite with the team where he experienced his greatest professional success.
