Bruce Brown revealed on DNVR Nuggets that the Los Angeles Lakers offered him a three-year, $50 million contract following the Denver Nuggets’ championship, intending to make him their starting point guard. Brown ultimately chose a different path after the Indiana Pacers presented a more lucrative offer.

“They wanted me to be their starting point guard,” Brown said. He instead signed a two-year, $45 million deal with the Pacers on July 6, 2023, becoming the highest-paid player on the team and earning a starting role for the 2023–24 season.

His time with the Pacers was brief, as he was traded to the Toronto Raptors on January 17, 2024, along with Jordan Nwora, Kira Lewis Jr., and three first-round picks for Pascal Siakam. Less than a year later, on February 6, 2025, he was part of a trade to the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for Brandon Ingram.

Brown returned to Denver on July 9, 2025, signing a one-year deal with the Nuggets for his second stint with the franchise. Through 25 games in the 2025–26 season, Brown has averaged 10.7 points, 3.9 assists, and 3.8 rebounds over 33.8 minutes per contest.

Denver’s roster features Nikola Jokic (29.8 points, 12.4 rebounds, 10.8 assists), Jamal Murray (24.9 points, 6.8 assists), and Aaron Gordon (18.8 points, 5.9 rebounds), with Brown providing depth and versatility in the backcourt. His defensive prowess and ability to contribute on both ends have been key for a Nuggets team sitting at 19–6.
