Bruce Brown revealed candidly to Marc J. Spears of Andscape that he immediately thought about returning to Denver upon joining the Toronto Raptors.

“As soon as I got to Toronto, I thought about coming back to Denver right away,” Brown said. “The whole time I was in New Orleans, I was thinking about the Nuggets.”

Brown’s journey over the past two seasons has included multiple trades. He signed a two-year, $45 million contract with the Indiana Pacers on July 6, 2023, and earned a starting role, becoming the team’s highest-paid player for the 2023–24 season.

He impressed in his Pacers debut on October 25, 2023, scoring 24 points with a career-high 6-of-8 three-point shooting in a 143–120 win over the Wizards.

On January 17, 2024, Brown was traded to Toronto alongside Jordan Nwora, Kira Lewis Jr., and three first-round picks for Pascal Siakam. His time in Toronto lasted through part of the 2024–25 season before he was traded to New Orleans in exchange for Brandon Ingram and multiple picks.

Brown appeared in 18 games for the Raptors in 2024–25, averaging 8.4 points, 1.6 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game. With New Orleans, he added 8.2 points and 2.4 assists in 23 games.

On July 9, 2025, Brown officially returned to the Denver Nuggets, signing a one-year contract for a second stint with the franchise. He previously averaged 11.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in 80 games for Denver during the 2022–23 season.
