The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Miami Heat 112-107 on Wednesday at Kaseya Center. Keldon Johnson scored 19 points to lead the visitors to their second straight preseason victory.

Both teams traded baskets in the first quarter for a 33-33 tie. Julian Champagnie drained three threes for 15 points to keep San Antonio even.

The Spurs pulled ahead in the second with 28 points to Miami’s 24, leading 61-57 at halftime. Devin Vassell added 12 points, including a dunk early in the period.

Victor Wembanyama contributed 10 points, four rebounds, five assists and two blocks in 22 minutes before resting. The French center’s alley-oop dunks set the tone inside.

Miami stayed within striking distance in the third, trailing 86-80 after 24 points from Kel’el Ware off the bench. Ware finished with a game-high 29 points and 12 rebounds.

The Heat mounted a comeback in the fourth, closing to within one on a three-pointer from Jaime Jaquez Jr. Jaquez tallied 19 points overall.

San Antonio responded with a 7-0 run capped by Harrison Barnes’ three-pointer. Barnes ended with eight points and three rebounds.

Bam Adebayo scored nine points and grabbed four rebounds in 22 minutes for Miami. The All-Star center sat out the fourth quarter.

The Spurs shot 46.5% from the field and scored 46 points in the paint. They forced 19 turnovers while committing 21.

Miami connected on 45.7% of attempts and outrebounded San Antonio 36-49. The Heat scored 48 points inside.

Champagnie added three assists to his scoring line. Vassell dished two assists despite four turnovers.

Ware blocked one shot and added one steal for the hosts. Jaquez Jr. grabbed three rebounds.

Andrew Wiggins tallied eight points in 21 minutes for Miami. The forward shot 3-of-10 from the field.

San Antonio’s bench produced 48 points. Miami’s reserves scored 63, led by Ware.

This win improves the Spurs to 2-0 in exhibitions. The Heat fall to 0-3 as both teams adjust rotations.
