The Charlotte Hornets have waived forward DJ Rodman, the team confirmed, ending his stint on a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 deal. Rodman had joined the Hornets during training camp as part of the team’s developmental strategy.

Rodman, the son of Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman, went undrafted in 2024 and spent last season in the G League with the Maine Celtics. He averaged 6.8 points and 5.7 rebounds over 25 games while developing his skills as a versatile forward.

The 6-foot-6 player also participated in the 2025 NBA Summer League with Charlotte, posting 5.8 points per game and shooting 45.5% from three-point range. His performance showcased potential as a perimeter shooter and rotational contributor.

Rodman’s departure opens a spot for continued roster adjustments as the Hornets finalize their lineup ahead of the 2025–26 NBA season. Exhibit 10 contracts like his are designed to provide teams flexibility while giving players opportunities to join G League affiliates and earn bonuses.

Exhibit 10 deals are commonly used by NBA teams to add depth to training camp while assessing talent for potential contributions in the G League or future call-ups.
