The Phoenix Suns have exercised the 2026–27 rookie scale team option on forward Ryan Dunn, securing him for next season at $2.8 million, according to Keith Smith of Spotrac.

Dunn, selected 28th overall by the Denver Nuggets in the 2024 NBA draft, was immediately traded to Phoenix on draft night. The deal included the 56th pick in 2024 and future second-round selections in 2026 and 2031.

In his rookie season with the Suns, Dunn appeared in 74 games, starting 44, and averaged 6.9 points and 3.6 rebounds over 19.1 minutes per game. He shot 43.0% from the field and 31.1% from beyond the arc.

The 6-foot-8 forward has shown versatility on both ends of the court, complementing Phoenix’s roster, which includes stars Devin Booker, Jalen Green, and Dillon Brooks.

Dunn’s development is expected to continue as the Suns aim to compete in the Western Conference with a mix of athleticism and depth. His third-year option indicates the team’s confidence in his long-term potential.
