Jordan Loyd is set for his seventh EuroLeague season, this time with Anadolu Efes. Speaking to Eurohoops, he admitted the move was unexpected but exciting.

“I feel refreshed. I feel excited, I feel looking forward to the opportunity to play for such a prestigious and amazing club like Efes.”

He reflected on his career path, recalling how he left a EuroLeague deal with Darussafaka in 2018 to join Toronto.

“I wanted to play EuroLeague, but … me and my family had to pay money out of our own pocket. Either way, I was able to go on and have one of the best years of my life and win the NBA championship.”

At EuroBasket 2025, Loyd impressed with Poland, averaging 22.4 points and making the All-Star Second Team.

He now reunites with former opponents Sehmus Hazer and Shane Larkin at Efes.

“My man, Hazer, did a great job of trying to just make things difficult. So, I’m happy he’s on my team now,” he said, adding of Larkin, “He is a top-class player … I just look forward to learning anything I can from him.”

As for his role, Loyd dismissed labels.

“I don’t know about primary, secondary … I really don’t care. It’s just more about getting wins.”

Looking ahead, he was clear.

“The expectation of the club should be Final Four, winning championships. That’s it.”
