Dennis Schröder was named the Most Valuable Player of EuroBasket 2025.

Receiving the Tissot MVP trophy from Rudy Fernandez, the Braunschweig native became only the sixth player in history to earn MVP honors at both the FIBA World Cup and EuroBasket, joining the likes of Pau Gasol, Dirk Nowitzki, Toni Kukoc, Dražen Petrović, Dražen Dalipagić, and Sergei Belov.

Schröder had previously earned MVP recognition during Germany’s championship run at the FIBA World Cup 2023.

In his latest triumph, which marked a perfect run across nine team showings in Tampere and Riga, the captain of Germany’s senior national team delivered outstanding statistics, averaging 20.3 points, 7.2 assists, 3.1 rebounds, 0.8 steals, and 0.1 blocks per game.

His performance in the Final against Türkiye at Xiaomi Arena on Sunday included a 16-point, 12-assist double-double, cementing his leadership and influence on the court.

The All-Tournament Team, featuring only NBA players, reflected the global talent on display. Schröder was joined by his teammate Franz Wagner, Greece’s Giannis Antetokounmpo, Türkiye’s Alperen Şengün, and Slovenia’s Luka Dončić, highlighting the international reach of elite basketball.

The tournament itself spanned multiple cities, beginning in Limassol, Tampere, and Katowice before moving to Riga for the knockout stage. Since August 27, a total of 76 games shaped the final standings, culminating in Germany’s historic triumph.
