At the press conference introducing Dennis Schröder as the newest member of the Sacramento Kings, general manager Scott Perry took a moment to revisit comments he had shared earlier about the qualities the team seeks in its players.

Perry highlighted that the Kings prioritize athletes who are “competitive, tough, team oriented, disciplined, accountable and professional.”

He went on to suggest that Schröder exemplifies all of these characteristics, making him an ideal fit for the team’s culture and goals.

Perry elaborated, “When you put those attributes together and consider the timing of free agency, Schröder stood out as the No. 1 player in the entire league who met our criteria.

“We felt strongly that he was the perfect person to bring in, someone who could not only fit seamlessly with our team’s identity but also help us lay the foundation for the kind of sustained success we are determined to achieve moving forward.”
