Estonia secured their third consecutive victory with a thrilling 88–87 win over Sweden in a closely contested matchup in Stockholm.
The visiting Estonian side started strong, taking control in the second quarter and building a lead that kept them ahead for much of the game.
Sweden, however, refused to back down and mounted a late surge in the final minutes, setting up a tense finish.
In the last 60 seconds, Sweden even managed to grab a temporary lead, putting Estonia on the brink of defeat.
But Artur Konontsuk rose to the occasion, sinking a clutch three-pointer that ultimately sealed the victory for Estonia and sent their fans into celebration.
Kristian Kullamae was instrumental in Estonia’s performance, leading all scorers with 16 points and 8 rebounds, while game hero Konontsuk added 14 points to complement the team effort.
For Sweden, Melwin Pantzar led the offensive charge with 19 points, but it wasn’t enough to prevent their 1–4 record in preparation games from growing.
Estonia’s win highlights their strong summer form and continued improvement as they build momentum ahead of the main competitions.
